David
Daignault
d. May 15, 2023
Colchester – DAVID JOSEPH DAIGNAULT passed away peacefully at his home in Colchester, Vermont, on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Born in Burlington, Vermont, on April 2, 1984, David was the son of Paul B. and Patricia Forman Daignault (among their 5 children). David grew up and was educated in the Colchester area, before becoming a carpentry apprentice in his late teens. Forgoing design school for a career in the building trade, for nearly three decades David excelled in home building and fine carpentry. His routinely innovative design features and pronounced woodworking skill earned him ongoing recognition from some of his most experienced peers and employers.
David was talented at design and graphic art, but without doubt music was among his greatest passions, as evidenced by a collection of guitars, a slew of self-written lyrics, and a hard metal rock album memorialized on compact disc from his band in the years of youth. David was no stranger to a late-night music session with friends around a bonfire. He was kind, thoughtful, imaginative, and charming.
David is survived by his older brother, Christopher Daignault, and wife Courtney, of Kensington, MD; his older sister, Nicole Eller, and husband David, of Destin, FL; his older sister, Lisa Wengel, and husband William, of Stowe, VT; his nieces, Luciette, Rose, and Claire Daignault of Kensington, MD; many local relatives in the Forman family of Burlington, VT, and Daignault family throughout New England; and dear lifelong friends. David is predeceased by his brother, Matthew Daignault, with whom he shared a special bond.
Memorial celebration of David's life and burial will be held at the grieving family's time and convenience. Those who wish may send expressions of condolence or support to LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Winooski, VT.
