Agnes W. Bushey, 90, of Colchester, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Winooski, VT, on January 9, 1934, Agnes was the daughter of the late Clement and Olive (Sorel) Whittle. She attended St. Francis Xavier School and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1952. A lifelong active parishioner, Agnes married Ronald Bushey at St. Francis Xavier Church in Winooski on May 8, 1954. This year, they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Agnes dedicated over 25 years of her career to the telephone company. She cherished spending time with family and friends, escaping to warmer climates during the winter months. Agnes was an avid reader of Danielle Steele's novels and enjoyed knitting sweaters, hats, and mittens for those in need. Christmas was her favorite holiday, a time she joyfully celebrated with good food and family gatherings.

Agnes is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Ronald Bushey of Colchester; their children, Bruce Bushey and wife Kim of Milton, James Bushey and wife Lona of Milton, Daniel Bushey of Milton, and Laurie Emerson of South Burlington; her grandchildren, Ryan, Jason, Rachel, Joel, Benjamin, and Corey; and her great-grandchildren, Marlie, Evelyn, and Dominic. She was predeceased by her seven siblings: Clement, Margaret, Genevieve, Leonard, Theresa, Bernard, and Wilfred.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 30, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church in Winooski.
