Andrew Ronald
Parker
Feb 5, 1940 — Jun 1, 2026
Andrew Parker, also known as Andy, 86, of Williston, passed away on June 1, 2026 at UVM Medical Center.
Andy was born on February 5, 1940, in Eden Mills, VT, the son of Henry and Eva (Pepin) Parker. He attended Johnson High School in Johnson, VT, and Saint Phillips College in San Antonio, Texas, 1974. Andy served in the Vermont Army National Guard, 43rd Division in Morrisville, VT from 1957-1960 and the 26th Yankee Division in Springfield, MA from 1960-1964. For the majority of his life, Andy worked in the construction field and was a welder.
Andy, along with his wife Beverly Granger, operated a Bingo in Essex Junction, known as Backyard Bingo, for 24 years. During these years, Andy came in contact with hundreds of people and many remained lifetime friends. Some of the happiest years for Andy were knowing that the time and work he was donating to Backyard Bingo were going to a good cause. Some of the nonprofit organizations were: Kids On The Block-Vermont, Discovery Museum of Essex, which later merged with ECHO (Lake Champlain Basin Science Center), Burlington Lions Club for the Blind Association, Frontier Animal Society of VT, Cathedral Square Corporation, Boy Scout Troop 601, and the Franklin County Animal Rescue.
During his younger years, when Andy wasn't working or donating his time, he enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and cooking. He also enjoyed working with his dad in the wood industry.
Andy was predeceased by two daughters, Renee Parker in 1977, Rhea Parker in 2009; his parents, Henry and Eva Parker of Eden Mills; his brothers, Dale of Florida, Jess of Texas, Robert of Tennessee, and Arthur of Vermont.
He is survived by a daughter, Ronda Parker of Vermont; two grandchildren, Kayla Kizer (her daughter Star), and Kyle Kizer all of Vermont; his sister Bonnie St. Onge of Pennsylvania; his longtime best friend and wife of 35 years, Beverly Granger of Williston, VT, and two little buddies, Cricket, a Yorkie, and Abby, his cat. Andy was also predeceased by his buddy Daisy Mae, a 12 year old Yorkie.
A graveside service will be held sometime in September.
