Ann Guyetter Fisher Jackson
On July 16, 2025, Ann Guyette Fisher Jackson passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Porter Hospital in Middlebury, VT.
Ann was born on December 30, 1932, the oldest sibling of Irma and Howard Guyette in Burlington, VT. She grew up in Waterbury Center and Burlington, VT, where she cherished spending time with her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ann had a great love of dance, attending classes and teaching dance in Burlington. Ann attended Cathedral High School where she met her first husband, Al Fisher. They went on to marry and had a son and two daughters, with one of them born after Al's passing. She raised her children as a widow for several years before marrying John Jackson, who had two daughters.
Ann and John were married for almost 50 years until John's death in September 2020. They spent their married lives on Lopes Avenue in Burlington, camp on Lake Champlain, winters in Cocoa Beach, FL, and Myrtle Beach, SC. Ann loved to shop and had a flare for fashion. She modeled for various boutiques in Myrtle Beach, SC. She and John loved to socialize, dance, and entertain.
Ann is survived by her sister Jeanine Cox, brother Raymond Guyette; son Mark Fisher (Cathy), daughters Carolyn (Fisher) King, Mary (Fisher) Aldrich (Bradley), Ann (Jackson) Hornick (Martin) and Elizabeth (Jackson) Smith (Chip); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Irma and Howard Guyette; husbands Al Fisher and John Jackson; brother-in-law Merlin Cox; sister-in-law Kathy Guyette; and son-in-law Gregory King.
There will be calling hours for both Ann and John (who passed during COVID when restrictions precluded services) at LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski, on Wednesday, August 27, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, 160 Hinesburg Road, South Burlington, on Thursday, August 28, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resurrection Park Cemetery, along with a reception at the Parish Hall.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Christopher Herbert, MD, the nurses and staff at Gazebo Senior Living, and the exceptional palliative care Ann received at Porter Hospital from Claire O'Grady DO, MPH, Eliza Curtis, MSW, nurses, and staff.
