Obituary

Annette (Seguin) Rabidoux, 78, of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully, at home on December 13, 2024.

She was born on September 3, 1946, at home, in Winooski, Vermont to Lionel (Leo) Seguin and Clara (Connie) Seguin.

Diagnosed with FTD (Frontal Temporal Dementia) and PPA (Primary Progressive Aphasia) in 2021 Annette faced these challenges with remarkable grace and courage.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Annette cherished her family above all else. Together with her husband Gary, she created a warm, loving home for their three beautiful children and was a constant source of support and joy for her four grandchildren.

Growing up in Winooski, Annette spent her childhood working at her parent's gas station, on East Allen St and enjoying weekends at the family camp in Duxbury. There, she loved snowmobiling and making lasting memories with her family and cousins.

She was a stay-at-home mom until the kids went to school and then spent her working life in retail at JC Penny's, Sears and retiring from the UVM Bookstore.

Even though they grew up a few blocks away from each other in Winooski, and had mutual friends, Gary and Annette met on a blind date in 1968 and married in 1970. Their bond was strong, and together they shared all of life's joys and challenges. From raising a family, to line dancing, Harley motorcycle riding with great friends, and creating unforgettable stories filled with laughter. Annette had a special fondness for bingo and the casino. She loved fall in Vermont and Christmas and looked forward to decorating for the holidays while listening to Christmas music and baking peanut butter balls and mini walnut pies. She was a loving lifelong fan of Elvis and The Beatles.

She was fun loving and her infectious laughter will be missed.

She is survived by the love of her life, husband Gary, daughters Lisa Michel (Jon), Denise, and son Daryl (Val). Grandchildren Kyle Michel, Brittany Michel, Skye Rabidoux, and Hudson Rabidoux. In laws Gale Lefebvre, Carol & Jim Dousevicz, a special nephew, Donald (Billy) Spence (Michelle) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Leo & Connie Seguin, a sister Janet Seguin Spence, her mother and father-in-law Maurice & Jane Rabidoux and brother-in-law Jim Lefebvre.

A celebration of life will be held, in Winooski, this summer. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Burlington Humane Society.
