Armand A.
Niquette
Jun 20, 1928 — Feb 5, 2026
Armand Antonio Niquette, 97, of Colchester, VT passed away February 5, 2026 in Shelburne, VT. Born on June 20, 1928 in Winooski to Ferdinand Eutrope Niquette and Marie Alvina Giguere. He married Patricia Niquette on August 20, 1949 at Christ the King Church.
Armand was the definition of hard-working from a young age. Even in his last year of life, he could be found raking the beach at Niquette's Bay as he did every summer. You knew you were in for a day of hard work if he stopped to ask you "do you have a minute." He was dedicated to his family traveling across the country to attend graduations, weddings or just to spend time with the people he loved. He always made a point of including his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing marbles or teaching them a new skill. Born with an entrepreneurial spirit, he opened up Nick's Bicycle Service in his younger days. He then owned Niquette Plumbing & Heating. Armand was the Assistant Fire Chief in Winooski and gave back to his community as a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Armand was preceded in death by his wife Patricia and his daughter Judy Niquette. He is survived by his children Mary Spalding, John (Patricia) Niquette, Michelle (Wayne) Tipson, Mark (Karen) Niquette, and Lisa Niquette. Grandchildren Christina Espe, Will Spalding, Eric Niquette, Angela Niquette, Brooke Sybesma, Katie Maynard, Casey Tipson, Matt Niquette, Chad Niquette, Tyler Niquette, Dylan Niquette, and great grandchildren: Silas Espe, Titus Espe, Francesca Espe, Michaela Niquette, Paityn Niquette, John Sybesma, Hunter Sybesma, Scarlett Maynard, Adyson Niquette, Olivia Niquette, Aliza Niquette, Hailey Niquette, Hayden Niquette, and Hudson Niquette.
No service will be held at this time. A family gathering will take place later in the year.
