Obituary

Barbara Lawrence - Essex Junction

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Barbara Lawrence, who peacefully departed on July 1, 2024. She was 92 years old.

She is survived by her daughters Debra Bouffard and Tammy Kellogg (Jay); granddaughters Erika (Justin), Erin, Cassie (Kevin), and Sarah (Kyle); great-grandchildren Noella, Beau, Dominic, Natalie, Aiden, and Brody; sister Dorothy, brothers Bobby (Judy) and John (Terry), as well as partner-in-crime Bea Bergeron.

She was predeceased by her parents, Irene and Henry; her cherished husband Wayland "Bud"; her beloved daughter Cindy; and son-in-law Eric. She also joins her brothers Gerald, Richard, Carol, Larry, and Barry; and sisters Lorraine, Ilene, and Margaret.

She was our person. The one we would call for everything, whether it was encouragement, advice, a recipe, or a shopping partner. She taught us how to cook, how to sew, how to solve a problem and how to live each day with beauty and grace. She always knew just what to say, had a way of making everyone feel as if they were her favorite, and was always up for any adventure. We will be endlessly grateful for all the time we had her for, even though it could never be long enough. While our hearts will never be the same, we know you will be with us always, in the memories that are interwoven through every single part of our lives. We truly were the lucky ones, to love you and to be loved by you.

A graveside service will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph on Wednesday, July 10th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McClure Miller Respite House, 3113 Roosevelt Hwy. Colchester, VT 05446.
