Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and sister, Brenda Ellen Seymour who passed away on January 7, 2024 at the age of 69 after a short illness.

Brenda, was born on June 27, 1954 in Burlington, VT to Leo Couture Sr and Wanda Fanton Couture. She grew up in Cambridge alongside her eleven siblings and graduated from Lamoille Union High School.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Her warm personality, infectious smile, and generous heart made her an instant favorite among all who knew her. She had a passion for cooking, which she loved to share with her family and friends. Brenda treasured her large collection of memorabilia in honor of her first love, Elvis Presley. Most of all Brenda was the forever party girl that made friends everywhere she went.

Despite facing many challenges in her life, Brenda remained resilient and persevered through it all. She was a fighter till the very end. Brenda is survived by her husband Gary Seymour, her son Bert Caron Jr, granddaughter Jennifer Caron, her siblings Leo Couture Jr and his wife Joy, Wanda Audet and her husband Brian, Deborah Alinger and her husband Mark, Lea West and her husband Bill, Mary Kittell and her husband Phil, Nancy Bigue and her husband Richard, Darlene Chamberlin and her husband Kevin, Pamela Bass, Diane Richard, Many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is Gone… you can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she would want, smile, open your eyes, love and go on. - David Harkins
