Carol A. Cincotta, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, Vermont, following a long illness.

Born on December 16, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, Carol was the cherished daughter of Alfred and Lucy Barberi. She grew up alongside her sister and two brothers in the vibrant community of Brooklyn, where she met her loving husband, Ted. Carol and Ted married in 1956, sharing 61 years of devoted marriage until Ted's passing in 2017.

In 1964, Carol and Ted moved to Burlington, Vermont, where they raised their family with love and faith. Carol was a dedicated mother to her five children, effortlessly balancing her family life with organizing and participating in countless volunteer and charitable events.

In retirement, Carol wholeheartedly embraced the things she loved most. She traveled extensively, immersed herself in her passion for Bridge with boundless enthusiasm, and remained deeply committed to her charitable endeavors, always finding ways to give back to her community. Above all, her greatest pride and joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished with all her heart. A woman of unwavering faith, Carol lived her devotion to her faith each day, embodying kindness, compassion, and grace. She offered comfort, support, and genuine friendship to everyone fortunate enough to know her, leaving a legacy of love that will endure.

Carol is survived by her children: Jerome Cincotta (Suzanne) of Riverside, CT; John Cincotta (Denise) of Essex Junction, VT; Marianne Cincotta of Watertown, MA; Gerard Cincotta (Ginny) of Essex Junction, VT; and Elizabeth Cincotta (John Battaglino) of Boston, MA. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, as well as her brother, Robert Barberi (Celeste).

She was predeceased by her husband, Ted, her brother Alfred Barberi Jr., and her sister Irene Davis.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Kimberly Dauerman, Dr. Allison Fitzgerald, Dr. Julian Sprague, the compassionate staff at the McClure Miller Respite House, and the many other doctors and nurses who provided Carol with exceptional care and comfort.
