Obituary

Catherine Jane Clark, 73, of Johnson, Vermont, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 4, 1952, in Sutton, Quebec, Catherine was the daughter of Harriett Jane (Olmstead) Clark and Frederick Clark. She grew up in Richford, Vermont, where she graduated from high school before earning a full scholarship to the University of Miami. There, she pursued her passion for creativity and design, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design.

Cathy had a lifelong love of thrift stores, flowers, reading, Jeopardy, and trips to Maine. She loved all her cats dearly that she had throughout her life. While living in Florida, she became a certified scuba diver. Vermont's fall and winter seasons were where she felt most at home — in the mountains and snow, watching the leaves change colors, and baking Christmas cookies and peanut butter balls or pickling cucumbers and dilly beans with her grandchildren. She was also a devoted Beatles and John Lennon fan, often inspired by her favorite quote: "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." Above all, she cherished time with her grandchildren, who brought her the greatest joy.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sarah (Draper) Goldman and Faith Ryan, and her six grandchildren: Mariah, Anna, and Ella Draper; Axel, Gage, and Myles Stancliff. She also leaves behind her two brothers, Robert and Fred Clark. Catherine was predeceased by her parents and her two granddaughters, Lily and Isabella.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services. Donations in her memory may be made to Meals on Wheels of Lamoille County or to your local library.
