Charles Albert Trybus "Cholly", 88, of Burlington died on March 16, 2024.
He was born on October 3, 1935 in Irvington, New Jersey, son of John and Sophia Potaniec Trybus. He graduated from Irvington High School in 1954, served in the Army from 1954 to 1956, and married Betty Collins in 1967. He worked for more than 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, and spent the last 12 years of his life in Vermont, where he was a dedicated member of the St. Francis Xavier congregation.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his children Jim and Matt, daughter-in-laws Megan and Mary Clay, grandchildren Quinn, Maddie, Anna, and Reid, brother and sister-in-law Chuck and Joan, nieces Debbie, Barbie, Linda, JoAnne, Cathy, and Brenda, nephews Chuck and Curt, and his boisterous beagles Mack and Lucy. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Betty in 2010.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 22 at 10:00a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church in Winooski, VT. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in his name to a cause important to you. T
