Clifton E.
Haggett, Iii
Mar 23, 1964 — Jun 24, 2026
Clifton Earl Haggett, III, 62, passed away on June 24, 2026, in Tampa, FL, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Cliff was born on March 23, 1964, in Burlington, VT, to Clifton Earl Haggett, Jr. and Elaine (Chamberlin). He attended East Montpelier Elementary School and graduated from U-32 High School in 1982. During his teenage years, he worked for many years on George Annis farm in East Montpelier. In his adult years, Cliff worked as a mechanic for Cody Chevrolet in Montpelier and Transmission Works in New Britain, Connecticut. Most recently, Cliff worked as a Tractor & Trailer Equipment Repair Technician for Walmart in Brooksville, FL.
Cliff enjoyed assembling model cars, an art that he started at a young age and fine-tuned into his adult years. He also enjoyed feeding peanuts to squirrels who visited him at his doorstep, classic rock, and was extremely proud of teaching himself how to play the guitar. Cliff loved living in Florida and, believe it or not, missed the cold New England winters. Cliff held his faith in the Lord close to his heart. He drew his strength from his faith, which helped guide him in his battle.
Cliff was preceded in death by his father.
Cliff is survived by his children, Sarina Haggett, Adam Haggett (Brenda Salazar Bautista), and Melanee Haggett; his mother, Elanie; sister, Susan Sabens (Gregory Sabens); brother, David Haggett (Joo Haggett); grandchildren, Camilo Haggett and Carolina Haggett; nephews, James Sabens, Brennan Haggett, Daniel Haggett, and Jared Haggett; and many great nieces and nephews.
Cliff's family wishes to extend their gratitude to Lenore Hartwich and Diane (Ree) Breda. Lenore and Diane (Ree), who remained good friends with Cliff, provided him with their love and support during his battle with cancer. We are extremely grateful to you both.
We invite Cliff's family and friends to join us in a celebration of his life on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kingston Funeral Home, 35 Slate Avenue, Northfield, VT 05663.
