Williston- at the age of 80 passed away on 5/27/26 in Burlington, VT.
Diana was born on June 2, 1945 to Vera Lydia (Cota) Bruce and Fay Clark Bruce
She married Joseph C Dufresne Sr. July 3,1965 in Williston, VT At Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church.
She worked at Howard Johnson,When she started her family she stayed home to raise her children, then did some out of the house jobs here and there. She also cared for her grandchildren, and a caregiver to many other family members.
She enjoyed cooking many meals, especially during the holidays. Baking her speciality things like her homemade English muffin bread, rolls,cream puffs, Black Forest cake, pies and the famous " Cat Licked Pie". Theres so many things she made the list could go on forever! She loved Gardening things like vegetables, flowers , blueberries,raspberries and blackberries. She liked to going strawberry picking so she could make jam. Maple sugaring in the spring time with many family members. She also loved sewing by machine and by hand.
She was truly loved for all she did to help everyone else before herself. She will be missed, we were all so blessed to have her in our lives
She was predeceased by her father, mother, sisters Jean Marie, Monica and her husband David Rondeau, brothers David, Fay (joe), Brothers-in-law Gary Blackburn and Roger King.
Diana is survived by her husband Joseph C Dufresne Sr of 60 years, Children Joseph Dufresne Jr, Susan and her Husband Daryl Cusson. Brother Michael Bruce. Sisters Lydia Blackburn, Shirley King, Kathie Bruce, Noreen and her husband David Rivers. Sisters- in-law Maryanne Terhune, Teela Dufresne, Judy Dufresne, Sharon Bruce. Grandchildren Travis Dufresne, Eleni Cusson, Jasper Dufresne. Great Granddaughter Chloe Valyeau. Also many nieces, nephews,cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visiting hour + Funeral service will be held at Corbin and Palmer funeral home at 9 pleasant St. Essex Jct, VT. 10am-12pm June 4th 2026
Burial will follow at East Cemetery in Williston.
