Obituary

Edward Albert Forkey III

Edward "Eddie" Albert Forkey III passed away after an unexpected medical incident on May 13, 2024. He was born on September 5, 1964, at Heaton House in Montpelier, VT to Mary and Edward Forkey Jr, proud to carry the family namesake, and the eldest of four brothers, where he spent many years becoming a staple in the community.

He remained in the Waterbury community, graduating from Harwood Union High School in 1982. He later met his wife Pamala Wittick and started their family. After having their first child in FL they moved back to VT to raise their children back in Waterbury. During that time, he worked at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. They moved to a few homes over the years, including Groton and Randolph, VT where Eddie left his mark on the hearts of those around him.

His heart forever remains in New England, as a die-hard fan of all things and sports of New England: New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins. He was also a proud fan of # 3 Dale Earnhardt.

Eddie was loved by family and friends- who would then become an extension of his family. He lived his life as an inspiration to others. He was often known to be there for anybody and offer a helping hand however he could; whether it be a joke to make you laugh to changing a tire. He spent his last days as he would have wanted: visiting, playing, and hugging his 5 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Forkey, his children, stepchildren, and adopted child Edward Albert LeRiche-Forkey & spouse Danielle LeRiche-Forkey, Scott Forkey & spouse Krystina Forkey, Kateland Forkey & spouse Jacob Hatch, Alex Wittick and Alyssa Wittick, Jessie Waters, his grandchildren Lina and LJ LeRiche-Forkey, Scott Forkey Jr, and Avah and Avery Hatch, his brothers James Forkey, Mark Forkey & spouse Erinn Forkey, Chris Forkey & spouse Meagen Devou, and countless extended family and friends.

Arrangements are by Perkins-Parker Funeral Home. A private viewing will be held for immediate family only, followed by a graveside service at Hope Cemetery in Waterbury, VT on June 7th at 11am. A celebration of Eddie's life will occur shortly after graveside services at the American Legion ( Potluck) in Waterbury. A gofundme has been arranged to support the family during this time.
