George Bradley, 91, of Winooski passed away on February 11, 2025 at the Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Burlington.
Born George Henry Bradley on June 12, 1933 in Rutland, VT, he was the son of Charles and Charlotte (Blossom) Bradley. He was also part of a large family of brothers and sisters. George lived most of his life in Winooski, VT and was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church. On September 6, 1962 he married his childhood sweetheart, Frances (Parsons) Bradley. Together they raised their two sons, Rex and Richard Bradley.
George was an over the road truck driver starting his driving career first with Farrell Distributing Corporation in Winooski, and then for many years at McLure Moving and Storage in Essex Junction. In his spare time he liked to hunt, fish, and tend to his vegetable and flower gardens in his backyard.
George was predeceased by his wife Frances; his parents Charles and Charlotte; as well as all of his siblings. He is survived by his two sons, Rex and wife Cindy (Hanlon) Bradley of Charlotte, VT, and Richard Bradley of Winooski; two grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, Tyler and wife Lindsay (Baldwin) Bradley and their two children Sloane and Declan of Sanbornville, NH; Adrianna (Bradley) LaClair and her partner Gerald Thibault and her four children Alexis, Kierstan, Marissa, and Brooklynn of Georgia, VT, as well as many nieces and nephews.
As per George's wishes, there will be no public calling hours or funeral. A private burial is planned for later this spring.
