Obituary

Geraldine June (Burrelli) Nagle, a native of Pittsburgh, PA, left this life surrounded by family on April 13, 2025 in Burlington, VT. She was 84 years old.

"Geri" was 1 of 8 children born to David and Margaret Burrelli of Turtle Creek, PA. There she met her future husband, Joseph Nagle, when the two received their First Communion as second graders. Joe and Geri married shortly after graduating from Turtle Creek High School (Class of '58) and were wed 58 years before his passing in 2018.

While raising her family, Geri attended college at the University of Rhode Island and later earned her BS in Nursing from Radford University, in Radford, VA. During the intervening years she worked in three fields that mirrored her interests - interior design, travel and as a buyer for Fairleigh Dickenson University. After raising three boys, Joe and Geri travelled to many places around the globe. A woman of exquisite taste, she took great care to beautifully decorate the many homes lived in across the country during Joe's long career with the General Electric Company. She loved to cook and entertain and had a dish, pot or gadget to prepare and serve just about anything you can imagine.

Geri is predeceased by her husband Joseph, sisters Evelyn, Delores, Rosalie and Carol, and brothers Basil and Dennis. Left behind to remember her are brother David Burrelli of Pittsburgh, PA, her 3 sons, Brian (wife Mandy) of Arvada, CO, Keith (Lisa) of Colchester, VT, Craig (Julie) of Winchester, VA, 8 grandchildren, Erin, Emma, Ian, Joanna, Jacquelyn, Elisabeth, Anne Marie, Gretchen,) and many nieces, nephews and greats.

Our family would like to offer our deepest gratitude for everyone involved in her care at University of Vermont Medical Center. Their compassion and expert care during her sudden illness was a comfort.

Services will be held on June 28, 2025 10 am at St. John Fischer Church (Churchill), 33 Lewin Lane, Pittsburgh PA

Geri was a gentle and graceful woman, sister, wife, aunt, mom, grandmother and friend. In her memory, pour yourself a nice cup of coffee, spin up the Neil Diamond and enjoy entirely too much tiramisu.
