Obituary

Henry Guy "Jack" Boyce, Jr. passed away at his home in Duxbury, VT at the age of 77 after a long battle with Dementia. During his passing he was surrounded by his wife, Linda, step-daughter Melissa, son in law Wayne Bronson, step-son Glen Townsend, grandson Patrick Richardson and family friends.

Jack was born on October 11, 1947 to Henry Guy Boyce Sr. and Lois Erskine (Ruggles) Boyce in Corith Corners, VT. Jack started his early years of education in North Stratford, VT until his family moved to Northfield, VT where he continued his education until he decided to enlist in the Army. Jack entered the military on September 9, 1966 and served until September 17, 1969. Jack received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Services Medal with three campaign Stars, two Overseas Service Bars and sharpshooter badge. Jack worked at Bombardier Transit in Barre, VT for eighteen and a half years as a silver solder. When Bombardier Transit closed, Jack went to work for Duke Energy in Montpelier, VT until he retired. Jack was an avid golfer, bowler, camper, fisherman, most of all he enjoyed playing cribbage with his nephew Ritchie Herring.

Jack is survived by his wife Linda (Gilbert) Boyce, step-daughter Melissa Bronson and her spouse Wayne Bronson of South Burlington, VT, step-son Glen Townsend of Duxbury VT, Daughter Christina of Arkansas, daughter Dawn Blake of Dubury, VT, brother Robert Boyce of North Carolina, sister Diane of Florida, brother-in-law Glen Gilbert and his wife Laurianne of Mass, sister-in-law Bobbie Brooks and her spouse Michael of Northfield, VT, brother-in-law William French of Barre, VT and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jack is predeceased by his parents: Henry Guy Boyce, Sr. and his mother Lois Erskine Boyce (Ruggles), three sisters: Patricia Boyce, Julie Falzarano and Barbara McKenzie, and his brother James Boyce, sister-in-law Wanda (Gilbert) French.

Arrangements are in the care of Kingston Funeral Home. A day of celebration will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Central Vermont Home Health Hospice.
