On Saturday, August 3, 2024 Janet Ferguson, beloved mother and grandmother passed away with her daughter by her side at her home at Maple Ridge in Essex, VT.

Janet's story begins on December 14, 1934, the daughter of Clayton and Jenny Davis of Waterbury Vermont, the younger sister of Maurice, all who have predeceased her.

Janet grew up in Waterbury, graduating from Waterbury High School in 1952. Janet married LG (Bill) Ferguson on April 7, 1956 and they made their home in Montpelier, VT, welcoming their first child Jeff in 1965 and their daughter Jean in 1968. In the fall of 1969 they moved their family to Winooski where she found joy in being neighborly and created many lifelong friendships with her neighbors. Janet remained in their home until August 2023 when she moved to Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Essex, VT.

Janet worked at UVM in the Mathematics and Statistics department for several years, retiring in 2000. Her time after retirement was spent making cards, working in her daughter's store, Scrapbook Central, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Janet was a member of the Winooski Methodist Church for many years and was instrumental in their annual bazaar with her many creations and her tireless dedication.

Janet was predeceased by her husband in 2018. She will be remembered and treasured by her son, Jeff, her daughter Jean and her very loved Grandchildren, Nick and Jamie Ferguson and Thomas, William and Joseph Ward.

Janet's family takes comfort knowing she is at peace and reunited with her husband.
