Obituary

Jeffery A. Boyce, 56, of Melbourne, FL, (formerly of Northfield and St. Albans, VT) passed away

on March 18, 2024, after a hard fought battle with kidney cancer. He was surrounded by the

love of his family and friends. His bravery and strength were remarkable, a true warrior to the

end.

Jeff was born on February 15, 1968 to Robert H. Boyce and Janice L. (Trombley) Boyce. He

was raised in Northfield, VT, graduated from Northfield High School and attended Dean College

and Castleton University. After college, Jeff began his career as a radio DJ and sports

broadcaster/commentator. He later worked in the hotel industry for many years, and finished his

career at FedEx.

In 1992 Jeff married the love of his life, Betsy, and together they built a family filled with love and

laughter. Jeff was a devoted father to Brendan, Connor and Presley.

Jeff was a talented musician and athlete in his younger years. Hockey was his passion. He

passed along that passion and athleticism to his children. He enjoyed coaching and mentored

his children to be the best they could be, on and off the ice and fields. He was tremendously

proud of all of their accomplishments.

Jeff was an avid sports fan and music enthusiast. He and his wife Betsy enjoyed attending

sporting events and concerts. He loved boating and jet skiing on Lake Champlain, as well as

traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Jeff had a smile, laugh and sense of humor that lit up a room. Throughout his life, he cultivated

many lifelong friendships, making friends every place he went. Jeff will be remembered by all

who knew him for his quick wit, kindness, and easy-going personality.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Betsy L (Plastridge) Boyce, his son Brendan R.

Boyce, (fiancee' Jamie Smith), his son Connor J. Boyce, and his daughter Presley R. Boyce. He

is survived by his father Robert H. Boyce, siblings Randall J. Boyce (wife Donna) and Michelle

L. (Boyce) Baker (husband William). He is predeceased by his mother Janice L. (Trombley)

Boyce, his brother Scott R. Boyce, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is also

survived by several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
