Obituary

Joy Lee Dustin-Charron, born March 13, 1956, in Northfield, Vermont, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 after a courageous journey with her illnesses. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Joy worked for Northfield Savings Bank and later the Vermont State Tax Department until her retirement, cherishing the friendships she made throughout her career.

She was the devoted mother to Melinda Campbell (husband Ian) of Barre, and the proud grandmother of Sabrina and Tabitha Campbell. She loved watching game shows and soap operas, collecting cows and baskets, and spending time with friends and her beloved pets--Darcy Belle, Maggie Mae, and her cat, Moo Moo.

Joy leaves behind her sister, Lisa Pettrey-Gill of Northfield, her brother, Luke Dustin (wife Robianne) of St. Louis, Illinios, and many dear friends and former coworkers. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Charron, and her parents, Lewis and Betty Dustin.

A celebration of her life will be held on April 18th at 1:00 p.m. at the Northfield American Legion. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Central Vermont Meals on Wheels.
