It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my mother Judith Parsons on October 6, 2026. Mom passed with a wonderful care team and family by her side at The Greensboro Nursing home. Judith was born on January 22, 1946, to Oakie Roy Triplett and Hildegarde Viola Dugroo. She had 2 sisters, Lori, Mary, and a brother Mike.
Judith Married and moved to Johnson. There she built her life and raised two children. Bethany Parsons, who predeceased her 1995 and her son Jeffrey Parsons, also of Johnson. Judith proudly kept and maintained the family's home and continued her life there in Johnson until moving to Greensboro for Health care reasons in early 2026. While building her life in Johnson, she became a beloved member in a friend circle who she shared love, laugh and tears with for many years! They shared about their kids and families, drank coffee and ate muffins together. Judith was a very proud person, always putting friends and family first. Never easily accepting help from others unless she could help in return. She wanted to do it for herself. While she tried to hide her failing health from those who loved her, she knew that they were always there if needed. Even though she would rarely ever ask for help.
Judith was a teacher, and she enjoyed chatting about memories connected to her teaching years. She had many stories and connections with local people she worked with and taught. Being family driven, Judith stepped away from teaching and worked in the family business for years while raising her family. As with many of us, Judith later in life changed her profession again when she excepted work with State of Vermont. She worked in Montpelier and Waterbury offices for years until retirement. During her working career Judith managed to proudly keep up with home costs and up keep. She kept many beautiful flower gardens and loved Saturday morning Coffee. She always loved her home in Johnson. Somehow she even managed retirement funds enough to pay for almost all of her own health and Nursing care. Mom would have been so proud of this achievement!
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 14th at 1:00 PM at Lamoille Funeral Home, 853 Brooklyn St, Morrisville VT 05661.
