Keith A.
Marston
Mar 15, 1934 — Apr 30, 2026
Keith A. Marston, 92, died on April 30, 2026 at Maple Ridge Lodge in Essex, VT.
He was born on March 15, 1934 in Richford, VT to Chester Marston and Alice (Lunderville) Marston. He graduated from Richford High School in 1952. He then entered and served in the Air Force from 1952-1956, which included the Korean conflict. He started working at IBM in 1957 as a Machine Operator. He was one of the first 100 employees to be hired at IBM in Essex Junction, VT. This is where he met Lucy Billups and later married on May 30, 1959.
He resided in South Burlington with his wife for 63 years. Also in 1959, he enlisted in the Air National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1965. He volunteered at the Red Cross and spent many years with the South Burlington Fire Dept. Somewhere along with his busy life, he became a certified EMT, which he was very proud of.
He loved to bowl, play cards, and play the drums with his wife playing the piano. He loved to dance with his wife and enjoyed spending summers at the family camp on Lake Carmi. He retired from IBM in 1993 and proceeded to travel with his wife to every state in the United States over a period of time. He volunteered at his church, St. John Vianney, organizing funeral lunches, serving Mass, and fundraising events, just to mention a few.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lucy Marston; his children Sheila Lord, Greg Marston (Mary), and Brian Marston (Tammy); his grandchildren Justin Girard, Joshua Girard, Jacob Marston, Noah Marston, Makaylee Marston, Greg JR Marston, Alex Marston, and Sasha Marston; and by his great-grandchildren Channing Girard, Khloe Girard, Anastasia Marston, Skyler Pike, Ryan Duval; and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Chester and Alice Marston, brother Roland Marston, and son Scott Marston.
Funeral and burial services will be held at a later date.
