Kevin J. McCabe, 67, of Essex Junction, Vermont, passed away on October 29, 2026, at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, Vermont.

Kevin was born on April 16, 1959, to Jack and Claire McCabe, who predeceased him.

Kevin had a passion for building model cars and collecting antique cameras. Among all his treasured possessions, none was more special to him than his beloved 1978 Chevy Camaro Z28.

Kevin wasn’t one to put on airs or pretend to be someone he wasn’t. Kevin was simply Kevin. He had a personality all his own and will be remembered by those who knew him for being unapologetically himself.

Kevin is survived by his siblings, Paul (Debbie) McCabe; Nancy (Ken) Mongeon; Julie (Phil) Abair; Coco (Tom) Dwinell; and Pat (Kelly) Hardy. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at McClure Miller Respite House for the kindness, compassion, and care they provided to Kevin during his final days. A special thank you goes to Julia Bleau, who served as Kevin’s caregiver for many years. Her dedication, care, and support will always be deeply appreciated.

A private service will be held by the family. Donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to McClure Miller Respite House in appreciation of the care and compassion they provide.
