Obituary

Larry Dean Miller, born December 30, 1951, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on January 16, 2026. He was born in Morrisville, Vermont, to Warren "Royce" Miller and Audrey (Godin) Miller. He graduated from Peoples Academy, Class of 1969. Larry grew up farming on Frazier Road in Morrisville, where his family's homestead is located. After farming, Larry transitioned to carpentry work, where he continued to use his strong work ethic and ability to fix anything.

Larry was a wonderful man who deeply loved his family – his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. He loved history and enjoyed talking about where his family came from, valuing the stories and traditions passed down through generations.

He loved all things hunting. From setting up trail cameras to sighting in his rifle. He loved his time in the woods and the camaraderie that it brought.

He was a locally known musician who played bass guitar in several local bands and was admired throughout the community for his talent and love of music. In addition to being a gifted musician, Larry was also a great singer whose voice brought joy to countless gatherings, jam sessions, and performances.

A lover of sports, he spent many years playing men's softball. His passion for sports extended far beyond playing, as he also coached his children and women's softball. Whether on the field or in the stands, he was always cheering, supporting, and so proud of his children and grandchildren.

He also found joy in the everyday moments outdoors – riding his tractor, exploring trails on his four-wheeler, and taking in the quiet beauty of the land he loved. One of his most treasured traditions was going on evening rides with his daughter, Heather, looking for deer and enjoying that special time together.

Whether making music, tinkering, or telling a story that could fill a room with warmth, Larry lived his life doing what he loved. His humor, kindness, and deep appreciation for the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Heather Pierce (Charlie) and their children, Olivia Pierce, Paige Martin (Stephen), Nicholas Pierce, and his great-grandson, Ethan Walbridge (Olivia's son); Heidi Miller Storm and her children, Carly and Owen Storm; Amanda Miller; David Miller (Sara) and their son, Raymond Miller; and Charlotte Miller Nolan and her son, Connor Nolan.

He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Louie Audibert; his lifelong friend, Jon Mosley; and the mothers of his children, Shelley Nolan and Dawn Slayton. He leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Warren Royce Miller Sr. and Audrey Miller White; his brother, Royce Miller; his sister, Deborah Miller; and his nephew, Michael Dean Audibert.

Per Larry's wishes, there will be no formal services. The immediate family is planning a private celebration in the spring.
