Lawrence Harold Sheehan died peacefully at Pillsbury Manor in South Burlington on June 7, 2018 formerly of Winooski. He was born on November 7 ,1925 the son of Edward E. and Adeline (Latour) Sheehan of Burlington.

He proudly served in World War II as a member of the United States Navy. Larry served his community as a member of the Burlington Fire Department and worked for the GSA Motor Pool and retired from the United States Postal Service. Larry was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church for 52 years. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years Pauline (Moreau).two sons Mark and wife Joanna of Candia NH. Matthew of Vergennes. three grandchildren Ryan Sheehan and girlfriend Brittany Nolan of Vergennes, Shelby Sheehan and boyfriend Keegan Sullivan of Vergennes, and Katie Sheehan Richard and her husband Eric of Allenstown NH, several nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends. Larry is predeceased by two brothers Edward and Patrick four sisters Teresa Monell, Mary Bushey, Dorothy Gaboriault, and Catherine Shanks. His quick wit, sense of humor and story telling will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:30 PM Thursday June 14, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
