Linda Jean Pedley passed away in the loving arms of her husband, Derek, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. She was 65.

Born on July 28, 1960, to the late Marcelino and Cecile Setien, Linda lived her entire life in the central Vermont area. Linda, the oldest of eight children, was instrumental in helping to raise and nurture all of her brothers and sisters.

After graduating from high school, Linda went straight to work. She was an incredibly dedicated employee of Vermont Castings in Randolph, Vermont, for 18 years and E.F. Wall and Associates in Barre, Vermont, for 23 years. Unfortunately, due to health issues, Linda reluctantly retired.

Early on in Linda's life, she faced a battle with cancer. Courageously winning this battle, Linda was plagued for the next 25 years with other health issues as a result. Many will say they have never met anyone tougher or more courageous than her. She faced each challenge with unwavering strength while never once complaining.

All of Linda's spare time was spent focused on the home. She was an incredibly talented cook, learning from her mother while helping to feed a family of ten. She was incredibly talented in the kitchen, never measuring, never even tasting while creating culinary masterpieces.

Linda loved to travel, with some of her favorite destinations being Maine, Las Vegas, and Mexico. She often talked about memories from a special trip she took to Italy, often saying, when we retire, we are going to buy a small villa in Sicily.

Linda also loved to garden.

All who knew Linda would say she had a calming presence, a warm heart, and a beautiful smile.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Derek, sisters Kathy and Cheryl, and brothers Scott and Chuck.

A small gathering will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
