With great sadness, we announce the passing of Louis N. Gaudette, 85, of Northfield, VT, who left us peacefully on May 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Underhill, VT on February 8, 1941 to Noel and Viola Gaudette, Louis led a life filled with love, hard work, and adventure. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Louis married his first wife, Alice Blanchard and had one son. After her passing, Louis married the love of his life, Lillian Wickware in 1973 and had three beautiful daughters.

Louis was a man of many talents, from a Golden glove boxer, to farm and logging worker, to owning his own business in lawn care/maintenance for many years. He was always on the go. In his free time he loved to go fishing and hunting and spend time with his family.

Louis is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Carleton and husband Herb of Northfield, VT; daughter, Louise Peake and husband, Kevin of Williamstown, VT; and son Louis Gaudette Jr. of Williamstown, VT; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie Gaudette and wife Kathy of Sharon, VT. Louis is predeceased by his wife, Lillian Gaudette; daughter, Tammy Gaudette; parents, Noel and Viola Gaudette; brothers, Joe Gaudette, Charlie Gaudette, and Gean Hemmingway.

Graveside burial will take place later this summer at Mount Hope in Northfield, followed by a celebration of life.
