Mark D.
Crowley, Jr.
Jan 8, 1980 — May 5, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Douglas Crowley Jr. on May 5, 2026 at the age of 46. His departure leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him, but we know he is now safely held in the arms of the Lord and Savior, where there is no pain or sorrow.
He was born January 8, 1980, the son of Mark Crowley Sr and Kim (Danis) Crowley at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington. Mark entered this world with a gentle spirit and a heart full of compassion that would go on to touch many lives. He attended Burlington schools and graduated from the Youth Build program in 1998. He went on to work as an appliance technician for Richland Appliance and later became self-employed under Crowley Services as a skilled tradesman. He enjoyed fixing things, working with his hands, taking something broken and old, and bringing it back to life.
Mark was a quiet spirit but had many passions in life: he enjoyed working on cars and attending family gatherings for birthdays, holidays and summer BBQs. It would be rare to see Mark without his New York Yankees hats or tee shirts, as he was a lifelong fan. Mark's greatest accomplishment in life was being a father to his twin daughters, Hannah and Emily. They were the apple of his eye, his joy and reason for living. They enjoyed activities together such as fishing, camping, beach trips and bike rides. Mark also took pride in being a grandfather to his grandsons Bradley and Silas; he loved spending quality time with them and making memories. He also enjoyed being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews; you could catch him playing games or sports with the kids, always with a big smile on his face. Mark's life was marked by a deep love for family and a dedication to creating joyful memories with them. Not to be forgotten, Mark's love for his dogs was obvious to all: Buster, Blue & Zeus. They were his trusty companions in life and his best friends.
He is survived by his mother Kim Crowley and father Mark (Lori) Crowley; siblings Camie Ward, Lindsey (Alfie) Vezina, Kelly Crowley (Corey Harman), James Crowley, Alyssa (Nick) Poquette, Jessica (Nick) Kenyon; his children Emily Crowley and Hannah Crowley (Austin Denis) and grandchildren Bradley Rand and Silas Denis; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mark was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Roland Danis (1985) and Edith Danis (2022), his paternal grandparents Leonard Crowley (1968) and Dorothy (Crowley) Fleming (2024), and step-grandfather Otis Fleming (2012), along with his Uncle Bert Crowley (2025).
