Obituary

Mary M. Sheridan, 80, of Jericho, VT, passed away on December 6, 2023. She was born on September 6, 1943, in Barre, VT, to the late Thomas McTigue and Catherine Smith.

Mary was a graduate of Marian High School. She was a woman of many interests and hobbies. Mary was an avid bowler and had participated in numerous leagues and tournaments. She took great pride in her beautifully maintained gardens and found solace in tending to them. Additionally, Mary was an active member of a women's volleyball league for many years.

Mary will be remembered for her stubbornness, pragmatism, and thoughtfulness. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her family. She is survived by her children, Brian Sheridan & Jessica Loffa of Norwalk, CT, Catherine & Richard Colt of Jericho, VT, her grandchildren, Casey Colt and Molly Colt, and her foster granddaughter, Natalie Wells, and by her four brothers Thomas (Ellen) McTigue of Palm Beach, Florida, Steven (Jane) McTigue, Peter McTigue (Claire Dessereau), and Timothy (Lucy) McTigue all of Barre , Vermont. Mary is also survived by her beloved fur kids, Lucy, Owen, Camo, and Yogi.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Michael W. Sheridan, her sister, Nora McTigue, and brother-in-law, Donald J Jarvis. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Jane McTigue, and nephews Kevin McTigue and Matthew McTigue.

The funeral services were held on December 14, 2023 by Corbin and Palmer, located at 9 Pleasant Street, Essex Junction, Vermont.
