Michael Truman, age 37, lost his battle with drug addiction on May 31, 2024 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Michael was born on July 29, 1986 in Randolph, Vermont to Dianna and Eric Truman.

Michael loved spending time with his family, especially his daughters. Michael was a wonderful father during his time of sobriety and was patient, kind and loving with his children. Whenever he was in the presence of his daughters, his smile was huge and his eyes lit up.

Michael was charming and friendly. He would strike up a conversation with anyone and talk about anything and everything. He had a huge sense of humor and enjoyed playing tricks on his Grandfather John when he was growing up. Michael loved spending time outdoors, hunting, kayaking and especially fishing (he would spend hours on the riverbanks, casting a line). Michael had a love for all animals and wanted to be a Veterinary Technician when he was in high school. He enjoyed cooking, baking and was proud of the creative, beautiful cakes he would make for his family on special occasions. Michael also enjoyed working with his hands; he was always willing to help family and friends with home improvement projects, car repairs and fixing things.

Michael worked at Riverton Memorials from 2008 to 2014 in Riverton VT and truly loved his job as a Polisher. Michael was proud to be a part of the granite industry and proud of his work there.

Michael is predeceased by his paternal grandfather John Truman and maternal grandfather Charles Reed.

Michael is survived by his parents Dianna and Eric Truman of Northfield, VT; his daughters, Abby Truman of Northfield, VT, Starlet Truman of Virginia; his "bonus" daughter, Faith Hall of Montpelier, VT; his brother Sean Truman (and Sean's wife, Sydney) of Riverton, VT; his niece Teagan Lundy of Lafayette, NY; as well as his paternal grandmother Margie Truman of Riverton, VT; his maternal grandmother Janice Fifield of Garden City, SC and his maternal grandfather Arthur Fifield of Northfield, VT; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2024 at 11:00am at Kingston Funeral Home at 35 Slate Ave., in Northfield VT.
