Patrick Joel DeMasi passed peacefully Thursday, May 14th surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was born on March 17th, 1961. He was the ninth of eleven children born to James Walter and Elizabeth Jeanette (Jette) DeMasi.

Patrick's greatest treasure was his family: his beloved wife of 45 years, Tina; sons Adam and Erik; daughter Jennifer; his granddaughter Charlie Ann; nieces Marilyn, Betsy, Emily and Ellie Mae, as well as his sisters, brothers, and their families. In addition to spending time with his family, Patrick cherished time on his farm raising Hereford cows, sugaring, rebuilding classic cars, and tending his land.

A lifelong resident of Northfield, Patrick served his community for over 30 years as a municipal employee and firefighter. He took immense pride in his work, rising from mechanic to utilities superintendent.

Patrick's humor, warmth, dedication to his family, and unique idioms will always be remembered. He is predeceased by his parents, James and Elizabeth; his Son Erik; his brother, Peter; and his sister Sue.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Northfield on Tuesday, May 19th, at 2pm. Graveside services immediately after the service, followed by a gathering at the family home on Hallstrom Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bayada Hospice or Alzheimer's Association in his memory. There will be no calling hours.
