Patti Jean Racine, 87, a lifelong resident of Burlington, VT passed away peacefully on September 5th at Elderwood of Burlington, where she resided the past 2 years.

Patti was born in Burlington on July 22nd, 1937, to the parents of Roch August Provost and Margaret Florence Warren. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1955. Patti married and later divorced Maurice Racine with whom she shared two sons, Mark and Scott. She worked for Burlington Electric Department for her entire career. Patti was the biggest Red Sox fan and Tom Brady admirer that there was. She was active in her BHS alumni reunion planning committee and volunteered in her early years in the PTA, Meals on Wheels and Church activities at St Mark's.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark, and Maurice.

Patti is survived by her son and Daughter-in-law, Scott and Debbie Racine, her 2 Granddaughters, Heather and Jeanelle, her sister Joan McCarthy and nieces Michelle and Jodi and nephew Michael McCarthy.

The family of Patti wishes to extend our sincerest thank you to everyone at Elderwood of Burlington and the Hospice team that took care of her over the past 2 years.

Private visiting hours will be for immediate family members on Monday the 9th with a private graveside burial and service to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
