Peggy L.
Bachelor
Oct 14, 1952 — Jul 17, 2026
Peggy (Fordham) Bachelor, of Williamstown, VT, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, after many health battles over the last two years. She passed in the loving home of her caregiver and niece, Cherie Morris and her husband Donny Morris in East Barre.
Peggy was born in Barre, VT, to Marie and Stanley Fordham on October 14, 1952, and this is also where she grew up. She married her White Viking, Kerry Bachelor on February 14, 1998, in Barre, VT. Peggy and Kerry were long-time residents of Williamstown, VT, and were so proud to have their own property there. Peggy spent most of her working years in local factory work with Sprague Electric and then with SB Electronics in Barre. She truly enjoyed being in the outdoors and walking barefoot as much as she could. You could most often find her beside her pond with family, friends, a fish pole, and a crisp, cold beer in the summer. The only thing that could ever keep her from enjoying the outdoors was her fear of snakes. Peggy had stories that made everyone laugh, and it is a given that if you knew her, you have a good story about something she said or did too.
Peggy is predeceased by her husband Kerry Bachelor; her son, Chad Morway; her parents, Stanley and Marie Fordham; her siblings, Stanley Fordham Jr., Douglas Fordham Sr., Muriel Davison and her husband Gary Davison, and Sally Fordham; as well as her nephews, Stanley Fordham III, and Douglas Fordham Jr.
She leaves behind her children, George Morway and his wife Tammy of Barre, Christopher Morway of Williamstown, and Christine Simon and her husband Anthony of Spring Lake, NC; and her stepdaughter, Candace Bachelor (unknown). Peggy is also survived by her grandchildren, Baylee Fust and her husband Jake, Breanna Morway, Chad Morway Jr., Joshua Morway, Kristin Aldrich, Paige Simon, Whitney Simon, Kyle Simon, and Isabella St Onge, as well as her grandchildren by love, Jasmine Evans, Brenden Morway, and Sara Fordham, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Peggy's children and grandchildren would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Cherie and Donny Morris, as well as her caregiver Lisa for the compassionate, loving, and dignified care they gave Peggy in her final months. We are eternally grateful.
Peggy's wishes were to not have a service but just be with her husband. In keeping with her wishes, she will be laid to rest with her husband Kerry at the Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, VT at later date.
