Randall "Randy" Duval of Colchester, passed away on December 21, 2025 from a sudden illness at UVM Medical Center at the age of 63.

Randy was born in Burlington, Vermont, on February 3, 1962, the beloved only child of Lucille (Rathe) Duval, to whom he was a devoted and loving son until her passing in 1994.

Randy attended Winooski High School and Essex Tech, graduating in 1981. He began his career at Red Head Supply, then went on to work for Paul Senesac at P&H Waste Water Treatment & Environmental Services. He later joined Casella, where he ran septic services, before following his entrepreneurial spirit and starting his own business, Enviro Tech of Vermont Septic Services, in January 2000. Randy loved his work and his customers expressed their appreciation to him for going above and beyond to help them.

Randy is survived by his maternal aunt, Jacqueline Rathe Plourde of South Burlington, many relatives from the Rathe, Crete families and his extended Bissonnette family, his close friends Kyle, Steve, Doug, Laurie, Steve and Bonnie and many others.

Randy had a deep love for the history of Winooski and Burlington and took great pleasure in collecting memorabilia, articles, and old photographs of both, along with his many antiques. He was known for his kind and generous heart and for always being willing to help others.

He especially enjoyed his weekly Texas Hold'em games with family and friends. Another passion was doing firework displays with Aaron, Mike and Mark.

Most of all, Randy treasured the lifelong bond he shared with the Bissonnette family, who welcomed him from a young age and loved him as their own. He spent countless happy times with them over the years, sharing meals, laughter, and, later in life, summers at the lake in his

camper at their camp on Georgia Shore. Through those years, he formed especially close friendships with Pete Bissonnette and Mark Lafountain that lasted a lifetime.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 3 St. Peter Street, Winooski. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Randy's name to St. Francis Xavier Church, 3 St. Peter Street, Winooski, VT 05404.
