Ronald
Derouchie
Apr 17, 1956 — Mar 19, 2026
Ron was born at home in Vergennes to Lyle and Mary (Ladabouche) Derouchie. He was the oldest of five children. Ron attended schools in Burlington and Jericho. After school he joined the Army, and then the Vermont National Guard. In 1975 he married Denise Siple, they had 3 sons, Ron, Brian and David. In 1987 he married Wendy Heath, they had 2 sons, Joe and Eric. Ron was also a member of the Richmond Fire Department until he and Denise moved their family to Jericho.
Ron worked for D.G. Robertson, manufacturing and delivering burial vaults, along side with his father and two brothers. All 5 of his sons also helped out during the busy season when they were old enough. He also had a small lawn care and plowing business, when he got sick and could no longer do it, he handed off to Ron and Brian who turned into a booming Property Management business. Ron was always so proud of his five boys. As he got sicker and was in pain it was sometimes hard to see it but the pride was always there.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Wendy. Four of his sons, Ron, Brian (Jennifer), Joe, and Eric. His grandson, Joshua (Emma Latimer), and his great granddaughter, Eleanor Derouchie. One sister, Debbie (Craig) Roberts, and one brother, Gary. A special daughter in law, MaryJane Ballard-Derouchie.
Ron was predeceased by his son David, his parents, brother Craig and sister Patricia.
Ron loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, until he couldn't physically go out any more.
Ron wants everyone to know, he is dressing casually. However you can dress as you feel comfortable, if you come to say good-bye.
