Rusela F. "Russie" Quelch, 96, of Portsmouth, NH passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 3, 2025. Russie was born on February 15, 1929 in Northfield, VT, she was the daughter of Harold and Eselle (Bebinqer) Foss and lived most of her life in Vermont.

She graduated from Spaulding High School in Barre, VT in 1947.

She was a legal secretary for nearly 45 years in Vermont and in Boston and she was a volunteer for several organizations but she preferred working in the legal system.

She is survived by her four children who will miss her dearly: Stanley E. Stattuck (Freda) of Moreau, NY; Cindy J. Tomik of Fresno, CA; Betty A. Fisk of Portsmouth, NH; and Robert (Tim) E. Quelch of Fresno, CA. Russie had seven grandchildren: Austin Fisk, Samantha Fisk, Sabrina Shattuck, Brad Shattuck, Katrina Villard, Victoria Tomik, and Olivia Jacobs. Great Grandchildren: Casey, Logan, Harper, and Ivy.

Her parents, sister, and brother predeceased her.

Per Russie's wishes, there will be no visiting hours. Burial will be held in Vermont in the spring with a private gathering. She will rest next to her mother's grace in Vermont.
