Obituary

Sharon Lynn Chicoine passed away after a long battle with chronic health issues, surrounded by her family, on April 28, 2026, at her home.

Sharon was born on March 25, 1951, in Burlington, Vermont, to Frank and Beulah Antone. She lived a life defined by honesty, kindness, determination, and humor—and she left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sharon was able to retire at the young age of forty-eight after dedicating 30 years of service to IBM, a testament to her strong work ethic and determination.

Sharon is survived by her partner of 39 years, Michael Lambert; her daughter, Trisha Chicoine, and son-in-law, Tim Ashline; her stepdaughter, Stacy Pepper, and son-in-law, Ben Pepper; her grandchildren, Sierra (and her partner, Anthony), Holdyn, Taylor, Levi, James, Harper, Kinsley, Meghan, and Danielle; her great-grandchildren, Myles and Mason; her sister, Pam Pariseau; her brothers, David Antone and his wife, Carolyn, and Ricky Antone and his wife, Ruth; along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Chicoine; her parents, Frank and Beulah Antone; her brother, Tommy Antone, and her stepson Tim Chicoine.

Sharon loved the casino, a good game of blackjack, and a lively conversation—often all in the same afternoon. She was an incredible cook, well known for her lasagna and pie, and she proudly held her own in a game of Scrabble. From sharing laughs over a Miller Lite to vacationing with friends and enjoying sunny Vermont days poolside, Sharon embraced life with joy and laughter. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren—and many others—as "Crazy Mimi," she wore the nickname proudly, as it perfectly captured her fun-loving spirit and sense of humor.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 3, at LaVigne Funeral & Cremation Service, 132 Main Street in Winooski from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of her life on Monday, May 4, at noon, at the St. John Vianney Church Parish Hall, 160 Hinesburg Rd., in South Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in honor of Sharon's memory.
