Obituary

Stephen Barron, 76, a lifelong resident of Huntington, passed away leaving

behind a lifetime of memories, a lasting mark on his community, and a family who

loved him dearly.

Stephen was a hardworking, honest, kindhearted man with a stubborn streak and

a sarcastic sense of humor that those who knew him will never forget. He was a

man who believed in hard work, took pride in what he did, and built a life through

dedication, determination, and a little bit of stubbornness.

Throughout his life, Stephen built and owned many properties throughout

Huntington, leaving his mark on the town he proudly called home. He worked as

a carpenter for many years and also served as a member of the Town of

Huntington road crew. In addition to his work, he owned and operated local

businesses, including Jaques Store and a bait and tackle shop. He was more

than just a familiar face in town; he was a part of the community he called home.

Outside of work, some of his happiest moments were spent on the lake, out on

his boat with his family. He also loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle,

always accompanied by his two beloved dogs, Acea, who has since passed, and

Shea, who continues to be part of the family. Whether he was out on the open

road or spending time on the water, he enjoyed the simple things in life and

making memories with those he loved.

Family was an important part of Stephen’s life, and one of the traditions that

meant so much to him was Wednesday night “Pasta Night.” Every Wednesday,

family and friends gathered around the table, where everyone was welcome. It

was more than just dinner; it was a time to come together, share stories, laugh,

give each other a hard time, and enjoy each other’s company. It was a tradition

that brought people together and created memories that will be cherished for

years to come.

Stephen leaves behind his beloved wife, Diane; his son, Jesse, and his wife

Christel; his daughter in heart, Kathy; his fur-baby Shea; his granddaughters,

Sarah and her spouse James and their daughter Chloe; who was his cherished

great-granddaughter. Emilee and her spouse Dylan with his fur-grandkids Sauer

and ol’ pal Chance.

Stephen will be remembered for his hard work, his honesty, his kindness, his

stubborn ways, and his unmistakable sense of humor. The things he built

throughout Huntington will stand as a reminder of the life he lived, but the

memories he created, the people he welcomed into his home, and the love he

shared with his family will be his greatest legacy.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him
