It is with profound grief and sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Ann DeBarge (Evans) of Burlington, VT on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the age of 65. She passed away at McClure Miller Respite House after fighting a courageous 3 year battle with cancer.

Theresa was born on March 27, 1959 in Saranac Lake, NY. She was the daughter of the late Joe (Evans) and Rita (O'Callaghan). She graduated from Burlington High School class of 1977. On May 12, 1979 she was married at St Mark's church in Burlington Vermont to the love of her life Mike DeBarge. Theresa just recently retired after 47 years at the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont.

She is survived by her spouse Mike DeBarge of 45 years, son Michael DeBarge and his partner Krista of Burlington VT, daughter Melissa Willette DeBarge and her spouse Bruce of Burlington VT, daughter Stephanie Pratt and her spouse Jarod of Richmond VT. She left behind her 3 wonderful grandchildren Mason, Noelle and Jacob. She is also survived by her sister Mary Keefe spouse Larry, brother Pat Evans spouse Tina, brother Chris Evans spouse Barbara, and her brother Tim Evans, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Mike Evans and brother "Little Joe".

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Mark's Church in Burlington, with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
