Obituary

Timothy Clark Lagerstedt, 47, of Brookfield, passed away on September 18th, doing what he loved most—biking on Perry Hill in Waterbury, VT. Tim lived life fully and on his own terms, always seeking adventure and connection with nature.

He was born on January 27, 1977, in Berlin, VT, the son of Bonnie (Clark) and Richard Lagerstedt. Tim grew up in Northfield, VT, and graduated from Northfield High School in 1996. He went on to build a successful career as a licensed Real Estate Appraiser, bringing dedication and care to his work.

Tim's passions were as vast as his heart. He was an avid mountain biker, trail builder, and skier, spending many joyful days on the slopes of Bolton Valley and Paine Mountain. His love for music was also a core part of his life, as he played bass in his band, Lightcrusher. Most importantly, Tim was a dedicated father, finding endless pride in his children, Kayce and Lucas, and sharing his love for the outdoors with them.

Tim is survived by his children, Kayce and Lucas Lagerstedt; his father, Richard Lagerstedt, and stepmother, Lezley Lagerstedt; his siblings, Marty (Kathryn) Lagerstedt, Chris Lagerstedt, Monroe Lagerstedt, Erika (Wayne) Lamberton, and Brooke Miller. He also leaves behind his grandmother, Ann Clark; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends—including the cherished biking crew.

He was predeceased by his mother, Bonnie Lagerstedt; his grandparents, Richard and Ruth Lagerstedt, and Wellman "Spud" Clark; as well as several close friends who meant the world to him.

A celebration of life will be held at Timberline Lodge at Bolton Valley on October 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with a potluck reception to follow. Friends and family are encouraged to come with stories to share in remembrance of Tim's adventurous spirit and generous heart.
