William Henry
Levee
Jan 4, 1948 — Jan 8, 2024
William "Bill" Levee
William H Levee, 76, from Colchester passed away on January 8, 2024 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
For those who knew Bill personally, knew that this stubborn man wasn't going to do anything that he didn't want to without a fight. His battle with cancer was no different.
Five years ago, he was diagnosed with stage four liver/colon cancer and was given only months to live. He refused to accept this and instead settled for the toughest fight of his life. Throughout his fight, he never complained about his situation and in fact, if you didn't know any better, you would have never known of his battle. During his fight, he continued to fulfill his time with his passion of training dogs and traveling south to be among friends for the long winters.
In April 2022, the birth of his grandson gave him a renewed vigor and filled his heart with love. He was so proud of his grandson and couldn't wait for someone to ask about him so he could scroll through the countless pictures he kept on his phone. Bill may have had a rough exterior but under it all was a heart of gold and playful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. He will be joining his wife of 49 years, Michelle "Mickey " Levee, and brothers, to continue their adventures together.
He is survived by his children, their partners and his grandson. Michael Levee and Jennifer Piette of Highgate VT, Matthew Levee, Jordana Bronson and Gatlin Thomas William Levee of Colchester VT. Bill also leaves behind his sister, Hilda Morrill, many nieces, nephews and dear friends
The family would like to send a thank you to all the members, friends, and guests at CCFG that helped Bill over the years and allowed him to continue to call Jonesville his summer home. A special thank you to Claire LaForce for being there for Bill and all of us through these difficult times. Additionally, we thank his best friend and partner in crime since high school, Mike Smith, and his dog training partner and dear friend, Rod Mack. The family will always be in gratitude to you.
Visiting hours will be held at LaVigne Funeral & Cremation Service, 132 Main St., Winooski on Thursday, January 18 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be conducted in the spring at Riverview Cemetery in Richmond.
